• Maintenance management is one type of asset management and studying it in detail revealed some very significant aspects of this management. Organizations carry out maintenance in following different types. First one is reactive maintenance, second one is preventive maintenance and then predictive maintenance and reliability centered maintenance management. Assets wear out after a certain time period and their maintenance is required but it depends upon the organization that which type of maintenance will they carry out. I went through the topic and learnt that reliability centered maintenance management is the finest of all because of the increased competition for quality and high market demands, it is wise to adopt such methods that help in lean manufacturing. In future scenarios, I will try to adopt this type of maintenance management to avoid operational barriers.
